A tragic time in a family

There is nothing more painful than the death of a family member. This past week, we lost a member of our family and it has been so deeply sadly felt that I found myself unable to write, think, or even react in any way other than viscerally.

I do have a lot to share on the job front, but I'm just not up to it right now. For a look at just one of the many dynamics of family loss, please visit my mom's blog for a peek inside her emotions, which seem to resonate for all of us. http://cryo-kid.blogspot.com/2008/04/other-side-of-joy.html I expect to be back in writing form by next week.

My heart goes out to her and all her family, after reading the post to which you linked. A dear friend of mine works in an infertility clinic here in the S.F. area and it has changed her life and those of us who know her.

It is profoundly helpful to have dear friends with whom we share the deep joy of a new birth and the indescribable sorrow of a death, so close to life
Kare

Remember the many
compartments of the heart,
the seed of what is
possible. So much of who
we are is defined by
the places we hold for each
other. For it is not our ingenuity
that sets us apart, but our
capacity for love, the
possibility our way will
be lit by grace. Our hearts
prisms, chiseling out the
colors of pure light.
